Wedding Thank You Card

We send out wedding invitations to our chosen wedding guests to announce a forthcoming wedding celebration, but what about after the wedding?

I think after the wedding celebrations are over, sending a little thank you note or message will not go amiss thanking guests for attending the wedding and for  their lovely wedding gifts, and especially for making your day extra special by being there.

For your wedding  thank you note or message you can use: a plain thank you card; letter paper; a card matching your wedding stationery like these contemporary heart cards from confetti; a simple white card, or just send a simple email. I don’t think a mobile text is yet the correct wedding etiquette, but I am sure over the next few years it will be.   I recommend doing the thank you notes immediately you arrive home from honeymoon, otherwise it will be just another task on your to do  list, to help you use the wedding present list.

For those extra special presents you can send a personalised wedding thank you card like this perfect keep calm card from Scribble, just add your text on-line and it will all be done for you and even sent directly to your wedding guest.

Wedding Thank You

You can personalise your wedding thank you notes by adding a little extra message either about the wedding present or a memory you have about your guest at the wedding, to make the message even more special.

For close family, friends and relatives who helped with the wedding detail and created some of those happy memories, a thank you note including a gift or a wedding photograph will be the ideal.  On the actual wedding day bouquets are a good way to thank a few very close and important guests, with a few words about thanking them for all their help and support.

Wedding speeches are a fabulous way to thank those important guests, especially guests who have travelled from far off places to be there.

Another way to show your appreciation is to add a little thank you note to each wedding favour, using some thank you ribbon to attach the note. This can be a simple thank you to an individual personalised message.  Or have a message printed on the favour or goodie bags, including your names and wedding date.

So there are lots of ways to thank your wedding guests for creating the perfect wedding memories,  from a simple thank you message to gifts, flowers or even wedding photographs.
