Alternative ideas to the wedding bouquet

Weddings can make people a little crazy, with most brides striding to bring a few unique touches to their very special day.

With so many wedding ideas  floating around brides can often find it difficult to choose something to put their unique stamp on their wedding.  At NS we think one of the easiest ways to add this unique stamp is through the wedding bouquets for brides and bridesmaids.

Traditional wedding bouquets of fresh flowers are often the first option, but if the wedding colour scheme is going to be incorporated into the bouquets and appropriate coloured flowers are too expensive, to add a little uniqueness mix in something a little difference like a few wedding colour fabric flowers, feathers or ribbon.

Alternative bouquet

If, however, flowers are completely out, then there are other alternatives such as this handmade tropical sunshine posy from calypso posie. Other fabulous bouquets with a difference to capture your imagination are those made from beautiful shiny jewels, brightly coloured fabric,  new or vintage buttons or a mixture of everything.

Feather fan

For a real alternative to a wedding bouquet is this chia ostrich floaty feather fans a real wedding  focal point, with striking hand sewn crystal and pearl embellishment  available from Britten Wedding at not on the high street.

Love umbrellas

One alternative idea we have had at NS is to replace the wedding bouquets with umbrellas, such as these brighly coloured large heart shaped umbrellas, which are  available in 12 different wonderful colours from Love Umbrellas. At NS we think they will make a fabulous alternative to any floral bouquets and can be easily decorated or colour coordinated. Plus, when open, can give a lovely message such as “here comes the bride” to your wedding guests.  Stuff the bridal umbrella with confetti to give the perfect bridal shower.

All available from Not On The High Street where you will find lots more bridal inspiration.
