Destination Wedding Barbados

If you are thinking of a destination wedding Barbados style then you should take a look at Mango Bay. The island of Barbados is a fabulous Caribbean wedding choice with gentle sea breezes and warm ocean waves lapping the soft white sand.

The beautiful and tranquil setting of Barbados is especially ideal for a beach wedding ceremony.

In Barbados you can get married more or less anywhere – on a boat, in a church, in an elegant plantation home, in a castle, under the cool shade of a  tree, by the sea cliffs, and not just on a soft sandy beach.

If your choice of wedding is on the beach then Mango Bay resort has one of the most stunning beaches of the West Coast. Here you will find St James beach the perfect place to tie the knot.

You can choose a daytime wedding, where the ceremony will be bathed in warm sunshine, or a late afternoon or evening wedding ceremony, timed to coincide with the sun setting over the ocean.

Barbados is one of the more popular islands, so it is advisable to book well in advance to ensure you get exactly what you desire. The best time to visit the island is from December through to June, although the climate is similar thoughout the year.

Mango Bay resort is just approximately 45 minutes from the island’s airport, and the beach front accommodation has direct access to beaches where you can seal your union under a palm tree as the sun sets over the sea.

Mango Bay

Mango Bay is an excellent all inclusive resort for weddings, with the hotel hugging the beautiful white sandy beach and is the perfect wedding choice. Here, the standard wedding package starts at £588 per couple and includes a wedding coordinator, a clergyman, a wedding bouquet and a buttonhole, as well as a decorated wedding arch/gazebo, a bottle of sparkling wine, a single-tier wedding cake, administration and marriage licence fees and transfers to obtain the required marriage licence. The wedding ceremony can take place on the beach, though you must give a little thought to the style and timing of ceremony. In addition you will need to think about catering, a wedding photographer, and anything else you may need.

The resort has a lovely lobby and lounge, plus a beautiful, torchlit fountain in the entrance – fabulous for wedding photographs.

Mango Bay Pool

There are two freshwater pools in beautiful tiled mosaic design, a beachfront bar for wedding cocktails, and the restaurant offers inside or outside dining for a wedding breakfast.

On the beach boardwalk your wedding guests can relax, sunbathe or enjoy a drink or afternoon tea.

Mango Bay View

There are 76 bedrooms, some with fabulous views of the pool, gardens or the ocean. Each room has air-conditioning, a ceiling fan, television, telephone, bath and shower, balcony or terrace and tea and coffee making facilities – everything you need for a fabulous time, including delicious food.

For me, the natural beauty of Barbados, the Caribbean island of song, dance and true Caribbean rhythm, is the  perfect wedding location for a truely romantic wedding or honeymoon.
