Wedding tips for a perfect day

Planning your wedding can be a very exciting and a fun process or a minefield of uncertainty, especially with so many options and styles to choose from in today’s market.

Here are some simple top wedding tips to help you with your wedding planning journey to achieve that dream wedding.

  1. Think about using modern technology such as email, Skype, evernote and pinterest, which are all great tools to use for recording your wedding details, contacting suppliers, speaking to family and friends about your wedding  and putting mood boards together.
  2. The first big wedding decision to make is the guest list and this should be done before you even start looking at wedding venues, as the number of guests will determine everything from size of venue to the wedding budget.
  3. Interior design websites, books and magazines are a great source of inspiration when it comes to wedding style and decor.
  4. Your wedding style and colour palette should be decided early doors as they can affect lots of other wedding decision from invitations to even the wedding venue.
  5. If you are unable to find an exact colour match think about different tones of the same palette, or a contrast or even a dye to achieve the required colour.

  6. No need to buy everything, consider areas of your wedding where you can DIY, roping friends and family in to help or borrowing or hiring items.
  7. Mismatched is very trendy at the moment, just ensure everything complements each other for a great look, so you do not have to have everything identical.
  8. Remember to keep your wedding dress and bouquet in the chosen wedding style.
  9. Today bridesmaids seem to have different styles or different shades of the chosen wedding colour for their dresses, but they all seem to go for the same dress length.
  10. The food should reflect your personality as a couple, so contemporary, traditional, or even a fish and chip van in the venue car park is very acceptable today.
  11. With so many food allegies and dislikes wedding cakes seem to have a mix of different flavoured tiers or different flavoured cupcakes.
  12. To add colour without breaking the bank, coloured table linen is an easy option.
  13. Finally the most important tip is to break your wedding shoes in by wearing them around the house, and remember to practice walking in them while wearing your wedding dress.
